Peace of Mind for Carers

Do you look after a family member, partner, neighbour or friend who is ill, disabled, frail or has substance or mental health issues? What if you had an accident or you could no longer provide that care?

How does it work?
The Peace of Mind for Carers service gives Carers complete peace of mind in the event of an emergency which prevents them from carrying out their usual caring role. A plan of what should happen to give support to the person they care for is created, which outlines what support should be given and contact details of people who can provide it. Each Carer is given a unique ID number that is linked to the plan and held by a 24hr telephone helpline.

If you have no one else who can provide care, up to 72 hours of care from an approved home care provider is available. This is completely free service.

For more information, or to make an appointment to create a plan of your own, please call us on 01282 704604.
