‘Sowing the Seed, Reaping the Benefits’
Rural Conference
On Tuesday 8th June 2010, 59 rural group organisers; ward and county council representatives; and statutory, voluntary, community & faith sector agencies working in rural areas gathered at the ACE Centre for ‘Sowing the Seed, Reaping the Benefit’ rural conference. Attendees came from across Pendle, Burnley, Rossendale and Hyndburn.
The conference was hosted by the Improving Reach Project & the People and Communities thematic group of the Pendle Partnership, who also part-funded the conference.
Focus of the Conference
The focus of the conference was about how to engage with rural communities and guest presenters spoke on a range of topics:
