Roles & Responsibilities
Members have been chosen to represent the range of agenda’s covered by this group. These include:
Health
Housing
Liveability
Worklessness
Environment
Cohesion
Older people
Culture & Leisure
This group working as a partnership will seek to add value to the above agenda’s i.e. develop actions that are a result of this partnership
Members are expected to:
Provide guidance on their area of expertise and identify issues/gaps in provision
Encourage communication, engagement & debate within the wider community
Actively involve representatives & individuals from the wider community
Duties for the group will include:
Monitoring performance over a range of indicators via the LAA
Deciding the priorities for the group
Developing and monitoring a ‘value added’ action plan
Receiving reports from the lead person for each action (the lead person can deliver the required action using a ‘flexible’ approach)
Chair & Lead Officer will report progress to Management Group
Actions will be ‘ticked off’ once they have been completed
Developing and championing the Sustainable Community Strategy

| As well as being a very busy GP, Dr Malik has been closely involved with Asian women's issues over many years. She is a founder member of Pendle Women's Forum and is currently a Community Representative on the Communities Block Steering Group
