The Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act (2004) has introduced a new planning system for England and Wales. The Act has initiated significant reforms to all aspects of the planning function, including the format of the Statutory Development Plan for the area. In particular, the Pendle Local Plan policy document (adopted May 2006) will be replaced with a suite of planning documents called the Local Development Framework (LDF).
You can follow the link to view the latest edition of Pendle Borough Council’s regular newsletter Framework which keeps you up to date with progress on the Local Development Framework and emerging planning policy in Pendle.
