We are growing and learning as a group together. We have 3 sections Beavers, Cubs and Sea Scouts. We have a Scout Group Leader Doris that keeps the group together and liases with the parents, freeing up time for leaders to concentrate on the young children. The leader of the Beavers, age 6 to 8, is Julie (Baloo), Julie is fairly new to Scouting but has lots to offer as a leader, and Julie ran a weekly under 5's church service for 2years and has 3 boys. The assistant leader is Trish (lion) who has been with the group for 1year and has 3 children. The leader of the Cub?s, 8 till 10 ?,is Aron (Skip) and Steve(chil). The Sea Scouts have been running for about six months, they have a Sea Scout leader Aron (skip) who was a Cub and Scout as a youngster. Aron has experience in Rock climbing, canoeing, orienteering (map reading) and camping. All the skills required for outdoor activities. The assistant Sea Scout Leader is Steve (Chil) he is a local business man and engineer, who has experience in camping and canoeing. Skills that will benefit any young person on the road through Sea Scouts. We also have two young leaders who help with all 3 sections.
