Stephen Smith
Network Manager
Stephen is responsible for encouraging participation of Community and Voluntary groups in the Network, developing and managing policies, representation at local and regional level and ensuring that our delivery action plan is carried through.
Julie joined the Network in October 2008 in the dual role of Finance Manager and Project Coordinator for the Improving Reach Project. With a wealth of experience working within a variety of local authority roles, Julie brings a great deal of experience in financial controls and audit.
Laura joined our team in 2006 as our Marketing and Communications Officer and is responsible for activities across the organisation. This includes all publicity and press, promotions, communications materials, event organisation and giving advice and training to organisations and societies on branding and marketing strategy, media liaison and producing and designing communications materials.
Julie has recently been appointed by Pendle Community Network as Migrant Community Development Officer and will be based at Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale CVS. Julie's background has been in education and social care. She spent seven years as a migrant worker in Spain doing voluntary work in the Spanish community. Her role will include helping groups of people to integrate into the community by providing information of services that PCN and their strategic partners provide.
Anna has recently been appointed by Pendle Community Network as Migrant Community Development Officer and will be based at Hyndburn Community Network. She is interested in introducing and integrating migrant communities within the local community by building their confidence and providing them with information of services that PCN and their strategic partners provide.
Martin comes from a background of working within community development and working with older people in day care centres. He is keen to help rural communities improve their skills and to ensure that communities feel confident to express their views and opinions . His job involves informing groups about Local Infrastructure support in East Lancashire and about local and regional government strategies.
Nadeem has worked in the sector and previously with the Network for three and a half years as an outreach and community support worker. His knowledge, experience and skills have been used to make a difference to communities and groups in Pendle.
Cheryl came on board in 2006 to lend additional support to our Marketing and Communications Officer. She is keen to support voluntary and community sector groups in developing their own branding and communications and will be delighted to offer you advice and support where it is required.
Ann has specific responsibility for developing new, emerging and established voluntary and community sector groups. She has a weallth of experience in delivering training and learning opportunities on a one to one or group basis. Well known in Pendle, she is our contact with the borough's Nelson Neighbourhood Managememt Team. If you need assistance with establishing a new group or have an idea on how to develop your existing services then please contact Ann.
